The Excelsior Hotel Ernst is located in a bicycle street. Access for hotel guests from the direction of Rheinuferstrasse remains available for motorised vehicles.
Cologne’s city centre is an environmental zone. Only cars with a valid eco-sticker (Feinstaubplakette) are allowed to enter. If you wish, we can help you get an eco-sticker. We also offer a valet parking service. Guests’ cars are parked in the multistorey car park across the street, where they are protected by 24-hour video surveillance. The private parking spaces reserved for our hotel guests in the Dom Garage are available for €35 per night.
Please note that due to renovation work and partial closures in the Dom Garage, there may be longer waiting times and walking distances between the hotel and the garage until further notice.
Train
Leave Cologne Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) by the main exit facing the cathedral. Go straight on into Trankgasse, with the Cathedral on your left. After about 150m you’ll see the Excelsior Hotel Ernst on your right. We are happy to meet you on the station platform and bring you and your luggage to the hotel. Just inform our concierge of your arrival time and coach number. We’ll take care of the rest.
